Smokers who smoke around their families might be indirectly dragging their loved one into their unhealthy world. Those who don’t smoke but inhale smoke released from the smokers are called passive smokers. The effect of passive smoking whether it is worse than smoking directly is still debatable. However, smokers must bear in mind that all the smoking related illnesses can be experienced by the passive smokers as well. Risk of developing lung cancer faced by a non-smoker will increase if that person lives together with a smoker.
Eye irritation, headache, cough, sore throat, nausea and dizziness are the common effects that might be experienced by a non-smoker who is not familiar with the smoke from the cigarette of an active smoker. The effects are worse and more fatal for non-smoker children.
If you want to smoke, please do check who is around you. If possible, try to smoke as far as possible from the public. Some local authorities have imposed non-smoking restrictions at certain buildings or areas in order to protect the public from the danger of smoking.
Love your loved one. Don’t let them be part of your unhealthy habit. If you really love your loved one, lets stop smoking altogether.
